Jeremiah 10

God and Idols

10 Hear what the Lord says to you, people of Israel. 2 This is what the Lord says:

“Do not learn the ways of the nations
    or be terrified by signs in the heavens,
    though the nations are terrified by them.
3 For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
    they cut a tree out of the forest,
    and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
4 They adorn it with silver and gold;
    they fasten it with hammer and nails
    so it will not totter.
5 Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
    their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
    because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
    they can do no harm
    nor can they do any good.”

6 No one is like you, Lord;
    you are great,
    and your name is mighty in power.
7 Who should not fear you,
    King of the nations?
    This is your due.
Among all the wise leaders of the nations
    and in all their kingdoms,
    there is no one like you.

8 They are all senseless and foolish;
    they are taught by worthless wooden idols.
9 Hammered silver is brought from Tarshish
    and gold from Uphaz.
What the craftsman and goldsmith have made
    is then dressed in blue and purple—
    all made by skilled workers.
10 But the Lord is the true God;
    he is the living God, the eternal King.
When he is angry, the earth trembles;
    the nations cannot endure his wrath.

11 “Tell them this: ‘These gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.’”[a]

12 But God made the earth by his power;
    he founded the world by his wisdom
    and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.
13 When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar;
    he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth.
He sends lightning with the rain
    and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

14 Everyone is senseless and without knowledge;
    every goldsmith is shamed by his idols.
The images he makes are a fraud;
    they have no breath in them.
15 They are worthless, the objects of mockery;
    when their judgment comes, they will perish.
16 He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these,
    for he is the Maker of all things,
including Israel, the people of his inheritance—
    the Lord Almighty is his name.

During the Summer Solstice the Sun rises in the NE and on June 21 it stops its easternly movement for 3 days then proceeds to rise further SE where on the equinoxes it rises directly due east. On Dec 21 the winter Solstice, the Sun rises at the furthermost SE direction and stops again for 3 days until the cycle continues. This ceasing of the suns movement (sol = Sun and sistere (to stand still) cease or stop) caused great concern to pagan worship as the fear the sun will remain in darkness forever or dead. With great anticipation they awaited the rebirth of the dead sun and its movement back towards more light. Dec 21 and 3 days later a "birthday" party. This explains the customs held during Jesus' time by unbelievers that 3 days must pass to prove there is death. This mirrors the evil trinity myths of Osiris Isis and Horus and Baal, Isthar and Tammuz. The winter solstice and leading up to it created much in occult worship, rituals, and Sacrifice(human as well) and unfortunately this is what the masses (including an asleep christian population) partake in. Note in the Spring equinox and the celebration of Isthar 9 months ( normal pregnancy timeframe) later is the birth of the new sun or tammuz (see Scripture for the pagan worship of tammuz). THIS AS NOTHING TO DO WITH JESUS OUR SAVIOR!!!!!!!!

God shows us in the following verse one particular practice the (the xmas tree) see text below:

"they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter."
The tree represented much (tree of life for example) it also represented the Phallus( the Male component particularly as it relates to the "Sun") or the seeding of new life - or rebirth. The obelisk for example represents this. Ever see a lot of obelisks in a graveyard??? So to use a tree in such a ritual was at its heart a desire to manifest a rebirth of the sun itself. Gold for the Sun and silver for the moon. Note the Xmas wreath represents the Feminine aspect which again is ritual symbology to manifest rebirth.
If you claim to be Christian didnt you ever question the traditions we have all taken part in? From rabbits and eggs to trees and Santa???? Were you told somehow it relates to Jesus or we are doing it for a different reason than the world?
The deeper meaning of this season is actually Saturn and the Black sun.....
For now, note that the winter Solstice is the rise of the sun within the tropic of Capricorn (the Horned Goat). Because of the precession of the equinoxes this is no longer the case but it remains fixed for its symbology. Saturn Rules Capricorn and the moon rules Cancer or the Summer Solstice.
This is partially why the season as always been the holiday of Saturnalia. Rome was founded in its worship of Saturn and MIthra. Saturn is Baal, osiris the Star of Rephan etc the ancient sun of the golden age etc etc. Much more on this later......
